In contrast with the previous three Thursday evenings, tonight was somewhat dull and overcast, with warm sunshine replaced by rain and very little wind.  Despite this, spirits were high and sailing was enjoyed, although the programme was cut short after two races due to the persistent rainfall and fading breeze.  The Allcomers B fleet saw a mixture of a Wayfarer, Laser and several Toppers participating – and well over the half the fleet over the line at the start, although they were all able to return to re-start for a closely battled race.  The Allcomers C race for Toppers got away without incident, although saw just seconds separating the finishers.  As the reach from the start line to buoy 1 saw competitors fighting the tide as well as little breeze, the decision was taken to focus racing on The Street, where a beat could be enjoyed in a little more wind.
